I just realized that it’s been 6 months since I’ve been constantly traveling the world. It’s only June and I’ve already visited Ecuador, the Galapagos Islands, the Amazon Rainforest, Mexico, Colombia, the United States, the Italian Dolomites, and Slovakia. It was quite a ride!<\/p>

The plan was rather simple: sip Prosecco on the beach, enjoy life, and recharge my batteries. This trip was also sentimental for me because Spanish Marbella and its surroundings have a special place in my heart. Exactly 15 years ago I came to Spain as a poor student, not knowing the language, looking for a summer job. I had big dreams and a lot of courage, so I stayed for a few months working as a waitress in a restaurant. It was a summer full of life lessons. I met friends, fell in love, and learned a lot about myself.<\/p>

It has a front balcony that opens out onto the deep blue Mediterranean Sea, which is truly amazing. I felt like I was floating above the water. Long story short – you can spend the whole day here soaking in the Spanish sun, reading a book, and sipping drinks. Hayaca Restaurant \u2013 the flavors of Latin America in the heart of Marbella<\/strong><\/h2>

Hayaca is a place for a unique dinner with the sound of the waves, because the restaurant is literally on the beach. It was created by Mauricio Giovanni, a famous Argentinean chef who has been living in Marbella since 2001. Hayaca serves Latin American fusion cuisine, and the dishes are inspired by only what’s best in Cuba, Argentina, Peru, Mexico, and Brazil. This results in original dishes, such as Colombian-style chip\u00e1 with suero and hogao (cheese bread with traditional sauce), bream with tart banana cream, or fried plantain with shrimp mayonnaise. And for dessert, try canchanchara tapioca and psidium ice cream.<\/p>

In other words, a real feast for the senses awaits! I would not be myself if I had not given you a few more suggestions for a little more active way of spending time on the Costa del Sol. First off, which is absolutely great, the hotel has its own city bikes that can be rented at any time. The long promenade in Marbella is simply amazing for a morning bike ride. I highly recommend going on such a bike ride in the morning at sunrise, before breakfast. Peace and quiet and the sound of the waves along the way are guaranteed.<\/p>

On the way, it is also worth visiting the old town of Marbella and having a coffee in one of the local cafes.<\/p>

If you are into more extreme experiences, the concierge can help you rent a boat or jet ski so you can plan a great day at sea.<\/p>
