This year, my trip to Greece came up for my 29th birthday. My dream was to spend them in a unique place with a beautiful view of the water, with cicadas playing in the background and sunset view from the terrace. It would have been the best birthday gift to me!<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve written in the previous post that Lefkada is still not a touristic destination and the hotel infrastructure is a bit underdeveloped (although I consider it as an adventage rather than a disadventage). So it took me some time to find the place I\u2019ve been dreaming on. However, as soon as I discovered Villa Harmony<\/strong><\/span><\/a> on Airbnb, I knew it was the place to be for my birthday.<\/p>\n

Villa (precisly speaking: two twin villas) stand on a hill close to the Athani village. The buildings are surrounded by the olive trees, and the nearest house is around 200 meters away. Total privacy, perfect silence and tranquility.<\/p>\n

When we finally reached it, literally my jaw dropped. The view was far more beautiful than on the AirBnB photos, the cicadas were singing gently, and I could smell cypresses. Greek idyll.<\/p>\n

We rented the entire villa for ourselves. The neighbors haven\u2019t been there for most of the time so I had a feeling we lived alone among the Greek hills.<\/p>\n

The villa has its own swimming pool and sea view. I admit that it was the main reason that convinced me to rent it.<\/p>\n

I have never had a pool only for myself and I\u2019m telling you, this is more than great! My donut and pinaplee mattresses were also satisfied :p<\/p>\n

The pool was brilliant, had no edges and nothing covered the phenomenal view of the green hills of Lefkada. We spent hours there – just sunbathing, swimming, reading books, and at the evening sipping wine and gazing at the stars.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The sky over Greece is one of the most beautiful for me. It is always so clean, and literally you can see billions of stars so clearly. I had a feeling I could have almost touched them.<\/p>\n

Villa has been decorated in a traditional style, there are two bedrooms, a living room with huge kitchen and two wonderful terraces.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Of course, the villa is fully equipped, also with the kitchennette, so you can easily cook (though it\u2019s pointless having all these wonderful Greek taverns around).<\/p>\n

We prepared only breakfasts, but we ate dinners out every day in another tavern, just to test as many of the as it was possible : )<\/p>\n

It\u2019s necessary ti rent a car to get to the villa, because it is located on a steep slope and walking to any infrastructure would be rather uncomfortable. In the village of Athani there are 4 family restaurants, a small shop and a pastry shop, so all the basic stuff. For bigger shopping you have to go to Vassiliki or another town. The two most popular beaches – Porto Katsiki and Egremni are about 15 minutes drive. The location is ideal.<\/p>\n

So much space by the pool was a perfect opportunity for doing workouts and yoga sessions at the sunrise and sunset. And it was a great pleasure to be able to practice in such place.<\/p>\n
