It\u2019s healthy, colorful and full of flavors. I can\u2019t get bored of this mix. When I lived in Thailand I really wanted to learn how to cook local food, so I can prepare it at home for my family and friends. Despite this, I like to know exactly what is inside my meal, so I can keep on my healthy lifestyle.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1980\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1980\" style=\"width: 960px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1980\" src=\"http:\/\/travelandkeepfit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/P1182083-ip5w9q0x.jpg\" alt=\"I\u2019m ready! :D\" width=\"960\" height=\"720\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1980\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">I\u2019m ready! :D<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Thai food has a reputation for being spicy. However, it is well balanced and combines different flavors including spicy, sour, sweet, salty, and bitter.\u00a0 This mix gives a fascinating combination and makes every dish very complex. What is characteristic for Thai food is using fresh herbs and spices as well as the inclusion of fermented fish sauce in almost every meal. Due to the influences of neighboring countries, such as China, Laos, Burma, and Malaysia, there are regional variations in what is typically considered Thai food.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1979\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1979\" style=\"width: 853px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1979\" src=\"http:\/\/travelandkeepfit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/P1182069-ip5w9mo5.jpg\" alt=\"Some of the spices and herbs I\u2019ve used for cooking\" width=\"853\" height=\"640\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1979\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Some of the spices and herbs I\u2019ve used for cooking<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>I confirm that Thai cuisine might be very healthy and nutritious. Mostly, because it\u2019s based on fresh vegetables, lean meats and seafood. These are definitely recommended for your body, when you try to be in shape. Also, the most popular method of preparing food \u2013 stir frying (when the ingredients are fried in a small amount of very hot oil) keeps the flavor of the food, as well as preserve their color and texture.<\/p>\n<p>I had an opportunity to learn Thai cuisine in Khao Lak, where I\u2019ve met a very nice teacher. She was passionate about cooking and gave a chance to learn from her experience. I\u2019m a fan of all street markets and I liked that one as well. In Thailnad it\u2019s pretty easy<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>For a cooking class we used a beautiful open kitchen surrounded by the jungle. The cooking itself wasn\u2019t difficult at all, and I\u2019ve learned a lot. It was fun, informative and it inspired me to cook other healthy versions of Thai cuisine.<\/p>\n<p><strong>When you will be in Thailand, don\u2019t miss the opportunity to try a cooking class.
